MOVIE REVIEW:Wasabi</a>

Wasabi (2001)
Genre: Action / Drama / Comedy

I would just like to say that although this movie isn't new, I felt that it should have a review on the see and say. For those of you who have not seen it, it certainly is enjoyable.

Visual
8.0
The scenery in this movie is very nice, it takes place in Paris, France for the beginning portion, and various parts of Japan, like Tokyo and Kyoto.
Audio
8.0
The music fits, it is a more modern version of tradition sounding japanese sounds. The music comes in at the right time and isn't overpowering. If a soundtrack existed, i'd buy it.
Plot
7.0
The plot is straight forward with no surprises, but the way that the outcome is reached is pretty good. For an action-comedy, the plot is pretty standard, but it has its moments.
Char. Dev.
7.0
You see a lot of change in Hubert (Jean Reno) during the movie, he moves on and grows as a character. Yumi (Ryoko Hirosue) also develops as a character changing her mind a lot.
Theme
6.0
Very anime-esque, it has a lot of funny parts with the actors doing some strange things, it also has some unbelievable action sequences, fight scenes that pack a powerful punch. Overall it is good.
Fun
9.0
The movie itself is fun to watch. A lot of the dialogue in the scenes is funny as well as the action itself. It is a very light sided action movie, it isn't grim or very serious. Hubert is definately funny and fun to watch. Momo is the comic relief, seeking to relive the old adventure days back when Hubert was originally in japan etc.
Overall
8.0
I think this movie is definately worth owning, i've scene it a bunch of times and it's still funny when I watch it. The movie itself is originally in French Dialogue, but has English Dubbing, that in itself is funny.
